Challenge
In Q4 of 2024, a group of business professionals in Hampton Roads sought a structured, supportive environment to strengthen communication and leadership skills. While interest was high, there was little existing operational framework or governance system to sustain a the special club long-term and reach the goals of the members.
As Co-Founder, Principle Consultant Trevina Jefferson recognized the need to build both the culture and the systems required to help leaders excel — without creating dependency on any single person.

Approach

Under Trepson's leadership, Walker Business Leaders Toastmasters Club was launched with an operations-driven foundation inspired by Trepson’s efficiency principles:

Established clear meeting structures, performance benchmarks, and communication systems within the first 180 days.

Designed leadership development plans to ensure officers understood both governance and succession planning.

Fostered a culture of faith, professionalism, and mutual accountability that encouraged consistent participation.

By Year 2, principal consultant Trevina Jefferson intentionally transitioned the presidency to a new leader, ensuring the club could operate independently while she continued serving as Vice President of Education and Area Director to support continuity.
